Worn A Piano Key Necktie For A Day

“I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I invented the piano key necktie. I invented it!”

Today is my good friend Will’s birthday. A few months ago, he recommended wearing a piano key necktie for a day, and so, that day is today. Yesterday, I made it playable.
When I woke up this morning, I realized that I was going to have a problem tying the tie in the state it was in yesterday. I had to take all the components out of the tie, tie it up, and then put the parts back in.
I went through the collared shirts in the closet, and J suggested I wear the light blue one I have. I left the house today wearing that shirt and the tie.

We ended up going to Smart & Final before heading to SereniTea House.

At the tea house, I surprised Fumiko by playing the keyboard. Here she is, admiring my tie.

I ended up taking a a stroll over to Walgreens and was hoping for more reactions. I didn’t get any. I did, however, get one lady that thought I worked there.
Later in the evening I did a few burpees with the tie on. Good times. The best part is that the keyboard made a sound when my chest touched the ground.

I wish I had been more active in the tie. If it was on a weekday, I would have had more interesting interactions with people, but I wanted to do this on Will’s birthday. Also, I’ve been sick all week (and still didn’t feel great) or I might have tried to go out tonight as well. Either way, this was a fun day and I got quite a few laughs out of wearing this wonderful piece of apparel.
