“Grilling, broiling, barbecuing - whatever you want to call it - is an art, not just a matter of building a pyre and throwing on a piece of meat as a sacrifice to the gods of the stomach.”

Many years ago, we got a barbecue grill as a gift, a smaller-sized Weber that has been pretty good for us, but after I
made baby back ribs, J and I realized that we were going to need a larger grill. After a bit of research, J found this highly rated charcoal grill, the Char-Griller Super Pro.

We headed to Lowe's to check out the grill. We wanted to make sure it was small enough to fit out on our deck. They had a display model out, and we were confident it would work. Not only that, but the construction of it seemed pretty durable.

After a very helpful employee helped us out, I commented on how loud the packaging was.

Later in the evening, I started working on putting it together.

The legs went together pretty well, and now, I had a base for the grill to go on.

After attaching the wheels to the legs, I placed the bottom of the grill onto the base.

I assembled the smoker stack into the top of the grill. The sticker on it was pretty funny.

The toughest part for me was installing the hinge to the hood.

Finally, I placed the grill plates and grills into inside. It looked pretty awesome!

I seriously can't wait to use this thing. I'm totally excited!

It takes about an hour to assemble this thing, but I'm sure it's going to be time well spent. This is an ideal setup for both regular grilling and smoking, and the grill's size is much larger than our old one.

Let's get cooking!
